Post Traumatic Stress Disorder develops when a person experiences something a frightening, Shocking or Dangerous event. Everyone has reactions to trauma but those who have problems after the trauma may be diagnosed with PTSD.

According to doctor Martin Lee of Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) that people with PTSD lack anandamide, an endogenous cannabinoid compound. Anandamide is our own inner Cannabinoid. Basically, PTSD stops the body from creating enough of its own cannabinoids to fill receptor sites. “Scientists have determined that normal CB-1 receptor signaling deactivates traumatic memories and endows it with the gift of forgetting,” Lee said.
