One of the earliest recorded uses for Cannabis was for inflammation. Gout causes inflammation in the joints so it should theoretically heal Gout.
Sativex is a cannabis based drug developed by GW Pharmaceuticals in 2005. Its original purpose was to heal Multiple Sclerosis but started showing beneficial effects in rheumatoid arthritis. Sativex comes in a mouth spray made up of manly THC and CBD.
An experiment was done where rubbing the cannabis extract on the affected area caused less inflammation and pain.
