Research suggests that Cannabis is good for ADD/ADHD

Due to political blockades there is not much research to prove that Marijuana can heal ADD or ADHD. Despite this there have been some reports to state that it can! According to Dr. David Bearman, a figurehead of Cannabis research, it appears Marijuana can "treat ADD and ADHD by increasing the levels of dopamine". A sort of cause for ADD/ADHD is the lack of dopamine which is a chemical neurotransmitter in cognitive processes like memory and attention.

The main way to compensate for this is to use medications like Adderall and Ritalin but they have their own negative effects. We believe that Cannabis is the solution as it stimulates the dopamine levels without the negatives of the other medication.

A practical example is Mr. Antonio Rodriguez who was diagnosed with ADD/ADHD. According to Mr. Rodriguez he was unable to sleep, had bad headaches and lost his appetite until he turned to Cannabis. Not only did the latter mentioned symptoms subside but it also treated the ADD/ADHD symptoms.

Large Amounts of Chatter suggests Cannabis is Good

Blogs and Articles on the web regarding whether or not Cannabis can heal ADD/ADHD have become the center of attention for researchers. So far the discussion has been leaning in favor of Marijuana. According to www.leafly.com out of 401 Posts the following stats were collected:

  • 25% of posts indicated cannabis was therapeutic for ADHD
  • 8% of posts indicated it was harmful
  • 2% of posts indicated that cannabis had no impact on their ADHD

We can only hope that once Cannabis is legalized more testing can be done.
