Study Finds that Cannabis can Kill Gastric Cancer Cell

In 2013 the Catholic University of Korea’s Department of Internal Medicine found that a synthetic version of the Cannabinoid THC could kill Gastric Cancer cells. The study consisted of injecting rats, with gastric cancer, with WIN 55,212-2 (a synthetic version of THC). After two weeks the gastric cancers in the rats were gone. This means that THC is antineoplastic which means it inhibits and prevents the growth of malignant gastric cancer cells.
